This Hat section machine we made for one very good Indian client. One machine can produce various-sized hat profiles. Changing size automatically on the computer. The detailed size for the hat section please refer to the drawing below.

- The main technical specification of this hat section machine
- Forming stand: 16 rolling stands, including 1 rolling stand for flange side 72°-80°adjustment,
- Shaft material: 40Cr, diameter φ60mm
- Processing of shaft: rough lathe, milling machine, process keyway, CNC fine processing, tempering treatment HRC 28-32, external grinding, polishing, chromed.
- Rollers: rollers material Cr12, vacuum heat treatment, fine processing
- Processing of rollers: outer circle rough lathe, quenched HRC 58-60, fine lathe inner and outer circle, milling machine process keyway, chromed
- Speed: Linear speed 28/min (don’t include punching holes and cutting), production speed 12-18m/min, depending on punching holes.

2. The feeding device
- feeding rollers: 1 set
- guiding rollers material: Cr12, rough lathe, quenched HRC 56, surface polishing, with hard chromed
- leveling rollers: up 3 + down 4, total 7 rollers
- Processing of leveling rollers: solid shaft, tempered heat treatment, and fine processing by lathe machine, and finally do hard chromed
- guiding rollers: 2 sets, upper and lower shafts, by gear-driven
- Guiding Roller: It is moved by an Electric Motor & PLC


3. Pre-punching and pre-cutting
- Punching unit: 4 sets
Punching needle and die material: Cr12MoV with quenched treatment
Equip with 1 set of hydraulic pre-flat plate cutting device: cut the steel plate before forming the hat purlin
Cutting blade material: Cr12Mov with quenched treatment
There are 2 cutting models, which can be switched by the PLC
Two stations for single holes, two stations for double holes, designed according to the client’s request, one spare punching needle set for each station - Distance of the hole can be adjusted manually by the handlebar (Transversal); Longitudinal position
is to be adjusted by inputting parameters into the PLC.
